Denver, CO (Sports Network) - The NHL's Colorado Avalanche announced that forward T.J. Hensick has been recalled from the club's American Hockey League affiliate, the Lake Erie Monsters, on Thursday. Hensick currently leads the Monsters in scoring with six goals and seven assists while being tied for fifth among all AHL scorers. His three power play goals also lead the Monsters.

Wild originally signed him to a five-year contract in July 2006. The Bloomington, Minnesota native scored a career-low 16 goals and collected 14 assists in 66 games last season for the Wild. The club also bought out the three remaining years of Parrish's contract after he cleared waivers, making him a free agent. Originally selected by the Colorado Avalanche in third round of the 1996 draft, Parrish has 208 goals and 164 assists in 660 career games with the Panthers, Islanders, Kings and Wild.

Toronto, ON (Sports Network) - Columbus Blue Jackets forward Jared Boll was suspended for one game by the National Hockey League on Friday. Boll was given an instigator penalty for engaging in a fight during the final five minutes of Columbus' 4-2 win over the Colorado Avalanche on Thursday. According to Rule 47.22, he was automatically assessed the suspension. Boll has not recorded a point in five games this season.
