Edmonton places Potulny on waivers

The Oilers acquired Potulny from Philadelphia on June 6 in exchange for defenseman Danny Syvret.

The University of Minnesota product arrived in the NHL late in the 2005-2006 season after averaging better than a point per game in college, and has recorded seven goals and 14 points in 44 total games over the last three seasons with the Flyers.

Philadelphia's third-round pick in the 2003 draft also racked up 68 goals and 118 points in 88 games with the Phantoms of the American Hockey League over the last two years.

Also, the team placed forward Carl Corazzini on waivers and released forward Guillaume Lefebvre from his professional tryout agreement.

Corazzini has appeared in 19 games in the NHL with Boston and Chicago and has two goals and one assist. Last season with Grand Rapids, the AHL team of the Detroit Red Wings, he totaled 24 goals and 36 assists in 80 games.

Lefebvre was played in 38 games in the NHL with Philadelphia and Pittsburgh and has two goals and four assists.
