09/29/2008 - Houston, TX (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - The Houston Rockets signed 2008 second-round draft pick Joey Dorsey to an undisclosed contract on Monday.

Houston traded its rights to the 25th overall pick in June's draft (Nicolas Batum) to the Portland Trail Blazers in exchange for the rights to the 27th overall pick (Darrell Arthur) and 33rd overall selection (Dorsey).

While Arthur was also eventually traded, Dorsey and his 6-foot-8 frame will join the frontcourt of Yao Ming, Ron Artest and Carl Landry, whose offer sheet with Charlotte was recently matched to remain in Houston.

Dorsey was a member of the national champion runner-up Memphis Tigers last season, averaging a team-high 9.5 rebounds to go along with 6.9 points while shooting 64.7 percent from the field.

In addition to Dorsey, center Marcus Campbell and guard Von Wafer were also added to the Rockets' training camp roster.
