Ricky Ray among CFL weekly award winners

11/12/2008 - Toronto, ON (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Edmonton quarterback Ricky Ray, British Columbia defensive back Ryan Phillips, Winnipeg kick returner Jason Armstead and Winnipeg defensive tackle Doug Brown were named the CFL's top players for the week of the division semifinals.

Ray captured the offensive honor after completing 27-of-37 passes for 303 yards in the Eskimos' 29-21 victory over the Blue Bombers in the East Division semifinal.

Phillips was the defensive player of the week after recording three tackles and two interceptions -- one of which went for a 54-yard touchdown -- in the Lions' 33-12 win over Saskatchewan in the West Division semifinal.

Armstead was selected as the special teams player by returning nine punts for 122 yards, including a 93-yard TD, in the Bombers' loss. Brown, the Canadian player of the week, had six tackles in the same game.

Edmonton plays Montreal in the East Division title game on Saturday, while the Lions take on Calgary for the West Division crown.
