10/09/2008 - Danville, CA (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Michele Redman and Maria Hjorth both opened with rounds of six-under-par 66 on Thursday to share the lead after one round of the Longs Drugs Challenge at Blackhawk Country Club.

Defending champion Suzann Pettersen is one of seven players tied for fifth at four-under-par 68. She carded four birdies and a lone bogey on the 18th.
Redman got her round going with a three-foot birdie putt on the third. She came right back by converting a 20-footer for birdie at four and made it three straight as she drained a 12-foot birdie putt on No. 5.
After five straight pars around the turn, Redman got up and down for birdie on the 11th. She stumbled to her lone bogey at the 13th, where she three-putted from 20 feet.
Redman, a two-time winner on the LPGA Tour, bounced right back with a tap-in birdie on 14.
She followed with a 12-foot birdie putt at the 15th and closed with a birdie at the last to gain a share of the first-round lead for the fifth time in her LPGA Tour career.
"I hit it great today," said Redman, who hit every fairway and missed just one green on Thursday. "I'm just hitting it really good right now, and have been."
Hjorth played the back nine first and she parred five of the first six holes. Those pars went along with a birdie on the 11th.
The Swede poured in four straight birdies from the 16th. Hjorth then parred three in a row before moving to minus-six with a birdie on the par-five fifth.
Hjorth took the lead at seven-under as she made it two straight with a birdie on the sixth. However, she gave that shot right back with a bogey at seven before making par on the final two holes.
A three-time winner on the LPGA Tour, Hjorth owned a share of the first-round lead for the first time since 2006.
Pettersen was joined in fifth place by Sarah Lee, Wendy Ward, Reilley Rankin, Yani Tseng, Meaghan Francella and Sarah Kemp.
Last week's winner, Paula Creamer, stumbled to a two-over-par 74 and is tied for 67th.
